150 years of tradition will find their pursuit

The first of September the austrian group Pucher from Linz overtook the activities of the well known bus constructor Ernst Auwärter. 150 years of tradition will find their pursuit under a new owner. The name of the new company is AUWÄRTER GmbH. Kurt Pucher will be the managing directors in Steinenbronn.

Pucher was founded 50 years ago and since 40 years Pucher has combined the production and conversion of minibuses with a role as a builder and supplier of specialist bodywork for the civil defence and fire-fighting sector. The acquisition of the trade mark EA, synonym of a large range of  high quality coaches, will  have a positive effect on the Pucher production  program. www.pucher-linz.com

The reduced staff of  former specialists from Steinenbronn will assure the production of  luxury coaches from 16 to 34 places. SUPER SPRINTER TEAMSTAR and CLUBSTAR. The actual urbain bus programs of both firms will be combined and it is the intention to raise the turnover of this range up to 30% of the total volume.

For being competitive on the european market the Pucher group will make investments in the Steinenbronn factory in order to improve the production facilities. The sales activities will be increased in Germany and in Europe.
